Inspired by the 1:72 Tomahawk/Warhammer I decided to take some more/new pics of the same mecha I have in store - even though I built it about 15 years ago, and it is dedicated to its origin, the Macross anime TV series universe.

The kit is one of the Bandai re-issues from Macross' 25th anniversary. I decided to stick with the original anime Battroid and its color scheme, an overall murky brown.
Having some good source books at hand, I added details (like the open rocket racks) and built a completely new hip mechanism, so the Tomahawk could actually be posed as if it was walking - it makes it look much more realistic/alive.

Another detail I had seen in the source material was the graffti on the left leg - many Battroids seem to bear such markings which resemble "nose art" on WWII aircraft. Gives it a personal touch  ;D
