I'm sure everyone is up on 3D printing, but I figured I'd pass along this guy: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/Frenobulax

As he makes some amazing stuff, and in my own self-interest, is going to make me a 1/700 P-6M Seamaster!  He's talking about it coming out at the end of June, so I'll keep folks notified, but in general, his page is a treasure trove of itty-bitty things that are hard or annoying to scratch build.  I'm planning on getting his V/TOL tail sitters and SeaDart fighters as well for some stuff I'd had in the works for about a decade now.  (Along with everything else that's stalled out of course).

This was very bad...I could get the RK Marine built up, circa early 2000s and 2020s...

Of course a person would have to get several Sea Masters and Sea Darts to fill out that sea plane navy base diorama.........

Pity he chose the American name for the Kokoda Track.   :banghead:

So, WOOT!  I got a mail today, the Seamaster is out!  https://www.shapeways.com/model/2197486/1-700-p-6m-seamaster-x2.html?modelId=2197486&materialId=61

It looks like it has a Herk cockpit and nose, but then it is only in 1/700 I guess.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yeah, I'm not sold on the nose, but reshaping that, or making a new one, will be easier for me than making the wings/engines.  I could probably knock out a new front office while watching TV.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of them 'in the flesh' to see how they look. Very interested in the 350 scale Trackers. Why they aren't done by Trump or the like is beyond me.....

I should have some pics of the 1/700 stuff in a week or so hopefully, but the guy at Kokoda said you can contact him directly, and if he can, he'll provide pics of a finished product so you know what you're getting.

Ohh those look good, now what sort of Carrier a modified Escort Carrier, another British Light fleet carrier, maybe HMS Centaur as she stopped being a Carrier in 66 or possibly a German adaption of the Sea Control Ship to go with their Adams style Rommel class DDGs.

You'll have to see if he'll do both versions of the Hawker Siddley P1154 and the Convair 200 for UK and US VTOLs.

P139 and AFVG would be handy for the IHP CVA-01 due out next year.

Those do look good ! I still want to see the real thing before I jump on anything, but I really do want those 350 scale Trackers !
