I posted that I had seen a few aircraft flying around yesterday, this was of course during the Armed Forces day 2014 which was held the other side of Stirling Castle from myself so it was a short walk to get there. Some of the flying was a little disappointing, the RN's contribution had engine problems so could not attend which was a pity as the Swordfish and Sea Fury would have been nice to see. The Tonka did one straight fly past in one direction going reasonably fast but the very spirited display by the Typhoon was great

Rather than posting the pictures that I took, no Red Arrows pictures as I was on my way home by then, I took nearly a hundred pictures, here is a link to my photobucket folder http://s776.photobucket.com/user/Gondor44/library/Armed%20Forces%20Day%20Stirling%202014?sort=3&page=1

Most are exactly as I took them so they will expand to a quite large size although I have cropped a few of the aircraft pictures or they could have been lost in the sky. Some aircraft pictures I left full size so that the flying conditions can be appreciated especially when the BBMF was performing its display.

Nice one ! Thanks for posting all those. I used to love Armed Forces Day as a kid....a chance to look inside and crawl all over a military base....priceless ! Looks like a nice mix of old and new there. And a Commando display !

I'll have to check back in when I have more time, but there's a few nice Lynx shots I will be saving for detail.
