Truly, a fantastic day. Many thanks for the photos, beautiful . The Connie was my "Oh My" of the show and the little P-26 second.....and FOUR Mk1(2?) Spitfires. Referring to an earlier thread, it is fascinating how different engines can range up the decibel level....the Wildcat/Martlet sounded like a duck hitting something with a spanner whilst the Corsair just purred.

My flinal air experience flight as an air cadet was a 8 1/2 hour flog in a Shackleton AEW2.  Heading back north above the North Sea we formated alongside a WC-121 on its way back to Keflavik.  Even with all the lumps and bumps such an elegant aircraft.

Just remembered that the Buchons and Mustangs did a superb mock dogfight. My brother and I both noticed that while the Buchons climbed, dived and manoeuvred beautifully the Mustangs seemed to struggle to keep up, even running out of steam in the climb...maybe it was the pilots.

May be the age & wear of the engines, too.

And maybe airframe specific G limitations?

That seems far more logical; I'm not thinking properly with this Lurgi. My apologies to the pilots.

I took my daughter earlier to her ballet class (where she did a perfect rendition of "The Dance of the Sugerplum Heffalump") and couldn't stop remembering the superb Dance of Spitfires. I would say, apart from completely misjudging the heat, that the show was about the best I've been to....only the Tigercat (or a completed and flying Beaufighter) would have improved it.

I've never seen a B-25 pull the manoeuvres the Red Bull pilot was achieving.....remarkable.

Glad you had a good day. Great pictures - thanks for sharing them.
