The number of different blade types you can get for the Swan Morton handle (and indeed Xacto) is truly staggering.

Now I tend to use a No 11 for most work, with occasionally a 10A for some heavier work and a 26 if something has annoyed me.

Was wondering what other blades people regularly use, and what for ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I use nothing but Stanley 10-601 recyclable scalpels, come in a pack of three. Very strong (never had one break on me) beautifully designed handle and sharp as (bleep). They also have the perfect sharp angle at front to fashion holes in fuselages etc.

I generally use 10, 10A, & 15 blades, on No. 3 handles. Also a number 11 blade on a No. 7 handle for fiddly bits.
I also use X-ACTO handles 1, 2, & 5 with various blades and razor saws (two different depths, in the No. 5 handle.)
The X-ACTO handles I have been using for the last 45-46 years, and it was only the reduced availability of the blades that got me changed to Swan Morton some time ago.

Swan Morton 11 blades, but for rough cutting Poundlands pack of 10 disposable knives...what can I say?

#23 for me, but I've been looking for a narrow, straight blade to use as a chisel.

Pretty much exclusively #11 blades (bought in packs of 100 from www.hobbytools.com.au) in a genuine exacto #1 handle with a sawn off cable tie wrapped round the handle to stop it rolling off the bench.
I have a pot full of old blades that WILL get built into a model (or models) one day.
This inspires me...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Two Swan Morton retractable handles with a #11 and a #15 in them. I also have some #10s.

Small X-acto handle with a small chisel blade in it.

Various razor-saws that have their own handles.

Trumpeter fine saw set, which has various plastic handles.
