Is that a Sea Javelin ? Fantastic

Yes indeed and VERY well modelled it was too. I've seen other Sea Javs before but that one was the best by far.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Was it the new Airfix kit, converted, Kit ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Erm, good question.........

I think it was 1/72, but OGL would know as he'd seen it before somewhere.

it was 72nd scale. And I have a feeling it was based on the old Heller Javelin trainer kit
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

That P.1214-3 looks fab !

Everytime I see one  I think to myself I should kitbash one.

Yes, that makes some sense, the rear cockpit isn't as 'shrunk' as a normal fighter Jav's is. Airfix did the T3 as well, from the Heller moulds of course, I have a couple of them somewhere.

Stupid of me that I didn't notice the old style jet pipes, not the burner cans on the FAW 8s and 9s.

Do so as Anigrand made some rather glaring errors when creating the Fantastic Plastic kit, too much looking at the Drawing and not enough cross checking with the Manufacturer's model to get it right.

Is there any reasonable plans to 1/72 to work to ? I have a second hand Su-47 FSW to use for the wings, suitable cut down and a couple of Harrier donor kits.
