Being a South Australian & because I'll be home for this one I thought I'd advertise it.

Hope to see some of our Australian comrades there this year, although I have no idea when I'll be attending, at this stage, but I hope to have something finished to display.

Well, this has been & went. Didn't manage to finish anything in the 6 weeks I was home but I took along my Centurion XI hovertank, B-P/W Defender Mk.IV & Supermarine Surefire Mk.II (for display only).

Met Uncle Les (from BtS) in the last 5 minutes, despite being there all weekend & learned a few neat tricks in the demo's.

Here's a link to my photo's of the occasion;

As of writing the pictures are still in the process of being uploaded to Photobucket. I'll post a couple of teasers when that's done.

Teasers, as promised;

Some things are just too cool:

Some are simply BIG:

Some are vaguely familiar:

And some are kinda sexy:

Some terrific stuff there.  :thumbsup: :bow:

I like the way the Bv-222 has a card with it that says 'Scale : Small'. SMALL???  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks for the link.  Good pics.
The more I see of those Roden armoured cars the more I like them.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yep, some terrific stuff in there. I especially like the truck rod:

I'd seen a few rat rods with lorry engines before (Detroit Diesel etc.), but not one based on a lorry.

Great pics :thumbsup: wish I had been able to attend.

Anyone know what the Whirlwind-ish aircraft is under the Bv-222?

If you're talking about the black & grey camo'd night fighter; that's my Boulton-Paul/Westland Defender Mk.IV more info & build HERE.

Hope that helps. :thumbsup:

That pic of the BV-222 just demonstrates it size, it's huuuggge! :o  I had been wondering about picking one and discounted it due to it's size, although I'd started to weaken and think it wasn't too bad...  That pic confirms it for me, I'd have to sell the furniture!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I think I put them out wide because they were still using the long narrow propeller blades of the Defiant & to reduce the metal blades interfering with the relatively primitive RDF. (It may also have something to do with me thinking they were closer than they were when I measured up for the cuts on the wings. :-X )

Perhaps later Marks of the Defender, with better radar & broad-bladed prop's, had the engines brought in closer.

... As would the Aggressor fighter-bomber variants, which would have been more likely to suffer engine battle-damage than their night-fighter counterparts.
