When the X-35 program turned into the F-35, the X-35B was bought for use by the Empire Test Pilots School, to enable training of prospective test pilots on 5th gen and STOVL aircraft.

Panda 1/48 X-35B.  Strangely, although you get all the relevant doors and intakes/exhausts, the rear nozzle only comes in aft position.  I cut and repositioned it to suit.

That's pretty!  A bit feartureless (curse of any stealth design...), but pretty. Much better than a dull overall grey.

Terrrific job, that.

And it looks REALLY good in Raspberry Ripple too. Where did you get the ETPS badge on the fin(s) from?

I had thought about a wash to break up the "featurelessness", but in the end decided that it should be immaculate (and I couldn't be bothered...)

The EPTS badges came from the TSR2 What-if decal sheet.

Very pretty.  Much better than the usual look.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Well done, and good work on the nozzle.

...couldn't be bothered klol. Know the feeling !

Came out really nice. Looks awesome in that scheme. Don't blame the stealth tho for the featurelessness of the model, I'm pretty sure that new Kitthawk one has lumps and angles and bumps etc etc all over it !

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

That looks the business
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Now that's something different for the f-35... And it looks good!
Nice work!

Ah yes, lovely! Brilliant execution Devilfish, and RR fits it like a glove.
