Printing Decals with a Geljet printer?

i have a question, but i dont know if anyone can awser it 

my brother recently got a Ricoh Geljet printer, and after looking it up on google, it kinda looks like a handy tool to print out decals, without having to seal them up with spraycans of clear gloss paint or Decal Sealant 
and if its really that so, im considering  getting one myself 

but i would like to ask, is it possible to make decals with a Geljet printer? or should i just stick with the old Inkjet a little bit longer?
