When cleaning out the family attic in Luton, a fellow found a couple of photos and paint shop notes from the R.A.E., where his great-grandfather worked as a Fitter/Artificer during and after the Great War. The Royal Aircraft factory became the Royal Aircraft establishment in 1918.

"Raspberry Ripple" was invented in 1918, not the latter half of the 20th century.

This is the old Revell kit from the '60s, built OOB, with a seat, floorboard, and new tailskid added.

The markings are spares-box fragments. I brush-painted the Testors Flat Red and Flat Dark Sea Blue. The White is rattle-can Armory White Figure Primer.

I used ACME "1/72 Invisible Rigging Line".

I am very happy with the way this build turned out.

Adios, Larry.

Absolutely BRILLIANT!

I love it to bits, Time Warps Rule OK!

And that ACME wire is the business..........  ;) ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

ACME "Invisible Rigging Wire" is available from  Mr. Wile E. Coyote, faithful distributor and user of the entire ACME product line.

Right. So as their biggest customer he bought the firm, bet he still didn't get that blasted Road Runner though ? Hated that pesky bird, loved Wile though - you had to admire his perseverance
