"What if" after the attack on New York the RAF realised that it did not have enough fighters for UK QRA.The Tornado F3 was still having problems with the Foxhunter radar and the EFA (as it was) is still years away.
It (RAF) quickly got the MOD backing to order direct from USAF reserve stocks,20 F16A,s and equiped  111 and 56 squadrons with these aircraft. In service,as Falcon F1,  they were supported by BAe and proved very popular with all concerned and stayed in service untill replaced by the Typhoon.
With this model I have represented the 2004 display aircraft as flown by 56 squadron.
Hope you enjoy.

Thanks guys. The kit is fact the old Hasagawa YF-16A from way back.I found it among my "half built" stash and dreamed up (must be the mushrooms again!!) the 56 Squadron Falcon F1 idea.
Really nice kit to build too.

Popular squadron I'd guess..
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die
