I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

That's excellent! It's almost exactly something I've been scheming for a 1/72nd build, the only difference being that mine would be licence-built in the UK with (probably) a Conway engine.

Olympus Mk301 was mooted, apparently.

Trouble is, this is a genuine Mach2 low level strike fighter, as it comes from the factory.  Conway and Olympus 301 are non afterburner engines and therefore wouldn't provide the thrust needed to attain the speeds required by the GOR.  The idea of "chucking and afterburner" on the 301 is what caused all the problems with the TSR2s engines...It's not that simple!
The F-105 worked as is, so I'd leave it at that....

Looks great to me! With such a payload, that would be a scary beast too!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?
