It would be quite fun to make a 'P-82' by REALLY twinning a P-51D or -H kit and see how long it took anyone at a show to notice.

Hm, I think I may do that, I had maybe 4-5 x P-51s of various sorts at the last count.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yes that's a neat idea. It certainly would be interesting to compare the 2.

There is a 'buy it now' 10 pack of Modelcraft P-82s on ebay right now for like 23 bucks. Good deal !

Apart from the 23 wrong handed props......  :banghead:

Not only the wrong handed props Kit, but turning the wrong way even for a P-82A too (P-82A was the only P-82 scheduled to have props turning the same way)
So you needed really big rear view mirrors?
