As a weird idea, I'm curious how rapidly the NACA jet propulsion development would proceeded if they realized that by April, 1940 that they could use the knowledge available to build a gas-turbine instead of March or April, 1941.

Jake's Jeep if I recall started in 1938 (could be wrong), though was developed into the early 1940's: I'm curious if that could have been developed into a pure gas-turbine with the basic compressor retained

That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.
