Here's pictures of my latest completion. This was done for a group build on BTS. If any of you remember the Blackhawks comics from the 40's, 50's, & 60's this is my interpretation of what they might fly these days. They were known for flying prototype A/C that didn't make it into production. The Grumman F5F and Lockheed F-90 being the pre-eminent examples. So, to modernize them, I chose a prototype that didn't make  production. The YF-23.  The model is a DML (Dragon) kit build Out Of the Box. I carried over the red wingtips and tail markings from the old comic schemes and added a more modern camo of greys, blues, and blue-grays.  I printed decals based on artwork I found on the internet, both the Blackhawks roundel and the Lady Blackhawk nose art.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Cool. That's a pretty funky paint scheme ! Would certainly be hard to track with the human eye. Love the markings...reminds me of the 409 Nighthawks.

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Awesome Ed.

The F-23 is SO much better looking than that Raptor thing the USAF bought instead, and in your scheme it's brill.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
