Found an old issue of Aeroplane, and one of the aricles detailed Hafner's Rota projects.

One of the ideas that he had floated was a Rotatank, in which a Valentine tank was to be fitted with a rotor, and flown to thje front that way. Needless to say, it never came to be.

However, there is a three-view, and looking at that, it is almost a dare for me to attempt a build.

With rotor span of 152 feet, in any scale, this thing is huge.

Still, until I found this, the only flying tank project was the Antonov KT, which was a biplane glider that carried a tank with no turret. The Rotatank used a Valentine that was not modified very much. And it looked a lot better than Oleg's effort.
