Hello All   <_<

I have a Fw-190A and a couple of Ta-152 and the decals to go with them showing captured airframes in RAF markings. I also have a Fw-190D (DORA) model as well. However I can't seem to find any pictures of a Dora in RAF markings (although I admit my search is not yet 'extensive')

So .....Knowing my fellow whiffers are positive goldmines of information (flattery will hopefully get me everywhere!  ;) ) do any of you wonderful people (mmm, flattery getting a bit heavy here) know of any photographs or profiles of a Fw-190D in RAF markings. Obviously I could whiff one (yellow undersides etc) but I'd like to compare with a real one if there is such a beast.

As I wrote the above my mind immediately started pondering the thought of a British Zone UK-sponsored 'German' airforce flying Doras with Anglo-German markings (Roundels with the luftwaffe cross replacing the red centre?) flying against a heightened Red Army threat of invasion of Western Europe immediately post-war!  ;D
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Suggest do a google image search for: no. 1426 (enemy aircraft) flight raf 190

Quite a few real and model aircraft show up.  Imagine a D could look like some of these schemes.

That's funny, but I agree - I can not remember a Dora in captured markings, at least in RAF or US markings. The only one I know is a Soviet one, all captured Fw 190s are either A/F or the Ta-152. Strange! Anyway, as a whiffing benchmark there are tons of these aircraft, there are even aftermarket decal sheets that include some very colorful machines (USN); many captured aircraft in UK use kept their original schemes, just the markings were overpainted, sometimes only crudely, and there has been a demo Fw 190 in Dark Earth/Drak Green/Yellow prototype colors (similar to a captured Me 163 specimen I remember).

In the book Captured Butcherbirds there are some US marked FW-190Ds but no RAF ones.
