The Wooksta!

Gondor's BoB Spitfire elsewhere had me posting these in thread as a reply as to why I think he's got it wrong.  This is one of what will be a small collection of alternates from that film.

This was cobbled together from an old tool Airfix mk Ia fuselage and canopy along with the radiator, with the prop and Coffman starter bulge from the Airfix mk I/IIa kit as well as the Va oil cooler that's also included.  The wings came from the Airfix PRXIX as well as the u/c.  The wing will fit pretty easily, although the fuselage will need some surgery to get the back end of the wing to fit properly. It also got the six stack exhausts from the Airfix mk IXc with the 3 spoke wheels coming from the PRXIX.

I didn't have anything in mind when I started the conversion, other than a mk IV but as I hadn't drilled out the radio hatch camera port it was ripe for use in "The Battle of Britain".  I do have a cannon armed mk IIb but I kinda got the conversion wrong.  Hadn't done my research properly!
