Any serious RAF-savvy bloggers out there who can tell me whether this conversion:

might fit a Beaufighter? Anything to avoid the chronic CMK conversion ;D. Remember, it's a whiff and accuracy is not the issue....wasting £20 (and P&P) is :banghead:.

It should fit, but using any Lancaster nacelle would be a better way to go as that is what was used for real.

High Planes does a Beaufighter Mk.II model.   Basic, like all High Planes models but adequate to the task.

Try finding one.  I need two but they seem like rocking horse poo.

Should have mentioned 1/48. The Tamiya Lancaster is eye-wateringly expensive and the Merlins would be like fitting a rectangular block in a round hole; that's why I was asking about the above conversion....the hard work's already done ;D.

Evidently they don't fit the Wellington kit very well, so maybe they'll fit the Tamiya Beaufighter better.  ;D

The round shape of the Merlin Wimpy nacelles would certainly give a differnt looking Beaufighter.

Many thanks for those links...I think I'll pass as I'm getting sick of too (  ) much filling and sanding these days. I've just found the perfect alternatives, forgot I'd bought them a few wonths ago, and they fit perfectly....more later ;D.

No boo's please but I've grafted on some JU88 power eggs, really looks even more pugnacious, if that was possible. Camera is on holiday for the weekend so I'll post a pic in the week.
