Excellent work. Definitely hard to tell it`s not a sketch.

The tricky thing about this "design" is that it also needs a forced perspective - you need a certain point of view to make it work, so it's rather a diorama solution.

As a side note: I was amazed some time ago when I came across some BW/sepia action figures from a Japanese anime. Looked totally weird, but in the right context (diorama/background) those subtle grey/brown shades really created the illusion of a vintage film/TV scene. Not as graphic as the Pawn here, but the concept works amazingly well.
