Joachim Schmidt was never sure who downed the Skua . Was it the rockets of thos e crazies in the bow , the Italian sailors or his own crew . One thing he knew was that his crew had acted like the well oiled machine he'd been aiming for. He knew they hated him for the countless drills he'd made them do . But they'd been worth it . He was determined that he'd keep this crew alive if humanely possible . His burn scars ached in sympathy when he thought back to that day , that nightmarish day when he'd been ambushed by the French heavy tanks....
