How about a big-wing Sea Vixen?  A sort of a 50's precursor of the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myasishchev_M-55?

Looks like I was well out on my estimate of a 2 yr. build time as I posted that 5.5 yrs ago!  :o

The Bell Model 67 was a proposal for the MX-2147 project.
Try the X-16, another Bell prototype for high-altitude long range reconnaissance. 28 ordered but none built, the first X-16 was reportedly over 80 percent complete when it was completed. ( Source taken from the book X-Planes Photos Scrapbook page 124).
