Perhaps the Big H could be persuaded to stock Toms Modelworks stuff? They never would do that while WEM sold direct themselves but the new situation is a whole new ball game.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I bet the aviation authorities had somat to do with it, ceasing shipments of paints to NA. Oh the dangers of properly packed, labeled and manifested 18 mil pots !

Glad to hear they will still be around tho.

Over at L'aresenal USA they have a bunch of their PE stuff on sale right now.

It's the paints I'm interested in and no news on that front and unlikely to be I suppose  :-\

Just in case anybody hasn't seen it, WEM's website is back up and selling stuff: https://www.whiteensignmodels.com/

Good find, hope it is true, but I noted the "news" section has not been updated since november 2014, and all 1/700 white ensign ships are listed as out of stock.

I had bought a few of their 1/700 aircraft and they are nice.

Excellent news ! I'll have to tell my LHS and maybe order a few sets myself.

The paint range has been taken over by Sovereign Hobbies so they are available as well

Yeas, but there's a "we're back" notice on the home page plus an explanation that stuff is now shipped from California, so it's definately active. Looks like they just took over the old website and marked everything they're not doing yet as out of stock. Does say that they won't be stocking the huge range of other manufacturer's stuff that WEM used to though.

Great news then. I did find the old website a bit confusing.  I wish them luck- more obscure 1/700 aircraft please!

California eh ? Deco have to let Dave from my LHS know ! He's been having issues getting their paints for years now due to goofy airline/ postal restrictions.

Sorry: as per NARSES2's post, the paints have gone to Sovereign Hobbies in the UK, who still can't ship retail to overseas customers due to postal problems. However they are working on getting overseas stockists, and there are two in the US:

Texas : www.warshiphobbies.com

Massachusetts : http://www.hbhobbies.com/

Note that Sovereign are also stocking the WEM photo-etch sets in the UK, which may work out cheaper on postage than getting them from the US.
