Longer.  They're from 2010.  The two Hawkers went that year and that year alone - it's been Spitfires ever since.

How many Spits ?

QuoteKendra, the red beastie looks to be F6F wings, tail and tailplanes on a cut down Swordfish? Wellesley? fuselage.
How would you tease apart the Swordfish or the Wellesley?  Neither have that pipe sticking out the side...

You'd hack them about, as modellers do, adding cockpits where you wanted them, filling holes where you didn't, and add an exhaust pipe from runner/sprue where you wanted it.
For examples of just how much a basic aircraft can be changed, see all of Dizzyfugu's outstanding work...

Or, indeed, any of the work on this Site.

Total agreement as the P-40Q's were part of a Freightdog/Pegasus build from 2009 where we got the models for free as long as the completed model was displayed at the 2010 show and like Lee's two Hawkers it was the only year that my version of the P-40Q was there.

20+ boxes with an average of 10/11 per box - you do the math!  And add the 20 or so that I've to finalise for this year.  Plus my secret projects...
