My Mother has passed on a photo of my Grandmere, possibly taken in Damascus, possibly in the 'twenties. Can anyone identify the plane and maybe the aviatrix to the left of the photo? Any help would would be hugely appreciated:

Looks like a Breguet 14, but more than that I can not help with, sorry.

Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Google finds no "aviatrice" with "Breguet 14", but there was a "Bréguet 14" ambulance, and maybe this is a nurse, not an aviatrix, I don't know...
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Wow!  Shades of Phryne Fisher there.  That is a great photo.
Can you decipher the writing on the rudder?  Won't that help to track down the unit the plane was from?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The rudder markings are manufacturing data, serials etc, it might be difficult to link that to units
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Both sides of my Mother's family are heavily connected with Greece, Turkey and the Levantine...absolutely incredible history which my Mum's been researching. One infamous incident my Grandmere and Grandpere were caught up in what was the Smyrna holocaust from which they narrowly escaped by a convoluted series of hops. We think this photo was taken during a refuelling stage at this time, hence the reason for the info request. If this plane, according to Wiki, could carry four people, then finding the identity of the other lady is of great interest as the other two would have been GP (took the photo) and pilot.

I'm wondering if it isn't a 'posed' photo --- reason I'm saying that is by looking at the gear they have on, then looking at their shoes --- they don't seem to be adequate for the rest of the gear ---
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike
