That's looking really good! I'll be watching!
Where's the truck trailer from?

It is a Herpa product bought off of Evilbay.  As you can see, I've lengthened it and added a dolly to the front.  I've been looking for a suitable long nosed prime move from the 1960s but been unable to source one.   I am presently working on the launching frame.

Try looking at the Roco Minitanks line.
Lots of US military trucks (all long nosed) from the fifties and sixties.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Roco stuff looks to be HO scale & thus 1/87.
Possibly a bit small?

If you can accept a soviet truck (or are prepared to disguise it) then how about one of the ICM 1/72 range?

They are finely detailed kits which go together well as long as you pay attention and don't glue the rear diffs in upside down. Ahem...  :bang head:
There are various kits with different bodies (fuel bowser, cargo truck, katushka etc) for each of the chassis they produce.

But Rickshaw used an Herpa semitrailer, and Herpa models are in 1/87.
And the Revell Snark is around 1/83 or whereabout.
This Roco would offer both tractor and trailer, but maybe the tractor is too modern.

Thanks for the ideas.  I'll think about it.  Most Roco Minitanks stuff is rather highly priced, once you add in P&P costs to downunder.   :banghead:

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

AWESOME!

That looks tremendous, and looks SO much better with the intake on top too.
