I've found I have one of the above, albeit a trifle knackered in that it only has one 'cheek' moulding, no idea why.

How good is the kit and what could one do with a 'single cheek' B-57 anyway?

Isn't the cheek piece an add-on anyway? I seem to recall you had to cut off the original nose to fit the cheeky nose. Or fit it over the original nose? I don't remember.   Either way, the kit should contain a perfectly fine B-57B.

EDIT: Just looked at one of my B-57B kits and it seems Italeri used inserts for the different versions. The area that held the B-57G specific sensors and LGBs in the B-57G boxing has some additional HVARs and some dumb bombs in the B-57B boxing. So, yes, apart from some splodey bits, you have a fully functioning B-57B.

The one I have has the cheek bit as all-in-one  (IIRC)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The box of mine is in such a terrible state I'm not sure if some other bits have gone missing too. AND I don't have the instruction sheet to check with either.  :banghead:

Some deeper examination is called for I reckon.

I wouldn't want to burden you with the problem Fred, but thanks for the offer.  ;) ;D

It should be a single piece that has both cheeks. It mounts at the bottom.

I'm afraid it isn't.

Having found the instructions it should be two handed pieces split along the centre line and they fit over the existing radome. Sadly I only seem to have the starboard half so it would look a bit daft if I built it like that.

Tophe would love it though.....  ;) ;D
