look, I'm cheap and niggardly and don't like spending my dough unless I have to, OK? Maybe cause I'm part Scottish, I don't know, but I need to paint my Malta Spitfire dark earth and don't want to buy the paint unless I can use the colors in my paint bank to whip up my own batch..
here's what I have that may be used: a middle stone/tan color, lots of greys of varying shades, blacks and black greys, whites and yellows...has anyone used these colors or others and wound up with an acceptable dark earth color...I'll get cracking and try some mixes myself, but just maybe someone has marked out a path for me to follow..

I'd try middle stone and a dark grey with maybe some yellow.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Well, if it's a Malta aircraft, just mix things and go ahead. Anything at hand was slapped onto the aircraft, not only official RAF colors, and I am certain that the sun bleached the tones considerably.
If you want to mix some earth tone, you will also need some red in the mix.
