Video Shot From Fighter Jets Will Melt Your Face

by Andrew Liszewski

To help Saab Defence and Security capture some spectacular footage of its Gripen fighter jet, a Swedish-based company called Blue Sky built a custom gyro-stabilized camera system that can ride along at speeds of over 345 miles per hour.

When paired with a 6K Red Dragon digital cinema camera and a $40,000 Canon camera lens, the resulting footage provides a never-before-seen opportunity to ride along in a fighter like you were almost sitting in the cockpit.

Very good stuff, but it looks DAMNED cold out there!

Which missiles is the Gripen in the middle portion of the vid carrying please?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

AMRAAMs under the wings and IRIS-Ts on the wingtips.

They are. IRIS-T is what the Germans came up with after they'd got their first good look at an R-73 (AA-11 Archer) and scared themselves silly...
