Tophe - the "spinning" prop is a disc of clear plastic with permanent marker scribble representing blades.  I used to draw spinning prop blades like that when I was a kid.  I saw a tutorial somewhere about how to make these and it said airbrush the blades but I thought this way might be better.  It certainly looks more cartoonish - which I like.

Using the undercarriage fairings (trousers?) as dive brakes seemed an obvious thing to do.  However, once i'd modelled them open I couldn't think of a reason why they'd be like that on the ground and so had to put it on the stand.  Which is an old Matchbox base fitted with a straightened out jumbo paperclip and filled with epoxy & fishing weights to add extra stability.

I think a lot of the Discworld is in Somerset.  Whilst at the Glastonbury Festival I have certainly seen some strange sights that can surely only be due to the presence of a strong magical field.  Ahem. 

Yup a lot of the names are from around that part of the world. I think because of its links to mystical folklore etc. They used to have a couple of "Discworld" inspired festivals down there every year I know that. Never went as they were a little "alternative" for me. Some of the goings on at the actual Discworld convention could have you scratching your head a bit as it was

No probs Tophe.  I strive for cartoonish.  This build has (inadvertently) an air of caricature about it.  It pleases me when this happens but I don't seem to be able to achieve it every time.
