Thanks guys I appreciate all the kind words, and more so the inspiration, encouragement and help from the fine group here. It does help when you have a kit that practically falls together and a decent airbrush.

Dunno if I'd put myself in the same class with JHM he is the master of scratchbuilding and I actually finish a model occasionally  :P

Nev your Storm Lightning is still one of my fave models, and I would love to see a pic of this T-bird flamingo beast you speak of.

Kurly dunno about Deadwood I gave up on that after about three episodes, couldn't take the profanity, I'm no c.......ing prude but it just seemed gratuitous and distracting.

Brian who the hell knows what a Twiglet is? Literally a twig of hard wood about 2" long smothered in Marmite, you can't chew em cos they cut the insides of your mouth and sucking them is like sucking battery acid they are so sour, but I love em.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Twiglet huh ?  Sounds interesting, do you get those at specialty shops?
Shanlyn loved the spitfire too..."how come you don't paint planes like that?"
That dusty colour you came up with is perfect...truly a show stopper.

Re: Deadwood...we cancelled our HBO last year, so we haven't seen much of it...sure do miss Rome, though.  Hear you about the language...a little is fine, but does anyone really talk like that?  Wait a minute, what am I thinking.

Ack-----don't tempt me to send you four or five of mine to FINISH for me....heh, heh...

You know, they would get done quicker that way...

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Don't mean to hijack this thread at all...(don't kill me Leigh !)  but having never heard of pink spits and PRU odd craft during ww2, I was doing some digging, and came across a really neat site with some informative reading, if you are into history on a personal level...I really like hearing the commentary from the troops instead of the command :

Here ya go Leigh.  I searched around on the internet, but couldn't find any photos, so I took a couple of piccies from out of my library.

First up a profile from the Warpaint book

ditto that.
You know what i find to be really cool about projects like these?  we end up investigating a number of different possibilities, and in all ends of research...i've learned more in the last year or so from sites like this than in all of my $$$$ years of college.

       neat stuff.

Leigh

Thanks guys and Ta very much Nev, I like that one a definite possibility now I've gotta get Gary to make me some Flamingo decals.

I can't say much more than what's already been said, other than I really enjoy looking at your work and this no exception. Great job! B)
