Brengun make a resin & PE 1/72 toilet and Hasegawa kitted a Skyraider (in the same scale) with one.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

You've got to forgive my ignorance of such an event, i'd never seen or read anything about this before...
They should have also dropped some toilet paper rolls... ;D

I was told by an ex RAF navigator that the Elsian ? toilet was quite often emptied over the target  Plus during 1939/40 leaflet raids old beer bottles were sometimes filled during the flight and discarded over the target !.

Almost certainly a practice followed by all other air forces

I am given to  understand that the sound of the  wind whistling over the mouth of the bottle as it falls has something of a bowel loosening effect on those below who hear it, apart from the considerable discomfort of being donged on the nut by a bottle falling from several thousand feet when it finally arrives.

A new aircrew position for avid beer drinkers emptying bottles and refilling them on the way to the target! Tough job if there is turbulence. Old guys at the pub can do their part for the war effort.

There's a Biggles story where he drops bottles over the German trenches from his Camel.  VV will know which one I expect.

When dropping leaflets I have always wondered if they bothered to cut the string holding the bindles together?

The same navigator who spoke of the toilet and bottles also mentioned that quite a lot went out with the leaflets. He also said it was something that nobody on the squadron ever understood.

Captain Canada

I've seen the pics and story before, but I don't think I've ever seen one built.

Hal Goodwin mentioned empty-bottle stashes as "standard equipment on all Germany-bound bombers" in his 1943 propaganda book Aerial Warfare, too.
