Most of the Porco Rosso aircraft I've seen seem to be based on actual, RW floatplanes & flying-boats.

Most of the Porco Rosso aircraft I've seen seem to be based on actual, RW floatplanes & flying-boats.

the Curtiss flown by Curtiss is RW, but Proco's sSavoia is a monoplane variant of a RW biplane, and I remember flying boats all look like Dorniers and the like, but not quite exactly? The scenes with WW1 seaplanes do involve RW ones.
Is there a reference web page somewhere?

The Curtis is a RW racer but it wasn't armed IRL.

With the wingtips in the downward position the North American B-70 would make a great seaplane with a large skid under the nose section, I'll have to see it this is possible when my 1/72 kit arrives.
