Wow that's cool! I find that type of thing fascinating...  all the little in and outs about how planes came to be decorated...      Been wondering about this matter in particular for a few months now.  I tried looking up stuff on it and struck out. Thanks!

The paints are taken from Federal Standard callouts converted on a FS-Humbrol-Tamiya-whatever chart I found online: Tamiya XF-27, XF-65 and XF-49 over X-2, followed by all-over Humbrol Gloss Kote for the decals then Matt Cote to finish.

How I'd love to see and hear one fly. Sadly my wife isn't a fan!

I was not aware of this 1:180 scale kit - wondered about the "flat" nose, but the manufacturer explains a lot. Makes me wonder if a simple 1:72 bubble canopy could be implanted, for an F-12 alternative...?
