Took the masking off earlier and it looks really good. Not quite straight in some places but the hard edge 74 mottle will help disguise some of it.

The "standard" civil transport is a minor sanding away from getting some paint on it.  The engine cowlings were primed earlier, so I need to get some 02 on the interior before they get fitted and then I can get the black underside on.

The former Argentinian one is yet to see any work, but it's not been forgotten about.

Painting the 74 squiggles on the KG200 Condor is driving me mad, largely because it's so tedious.  I've a full wing still to do, as well as one outer.  Never, ever again am I doing this scheme.

Also looked at building ye olde Revell Fw 200C, largely because it's there, and considering a Spanish SAR bird and stealing the markings from the Italeri Do 24. But as half the u/c is missing - it's a nightmare to assemble anyway - it's going wheels up on a stick.  The props are rubbish too, so just a simple spinner will be a vast improvement.

But it will look SO good Lee

The transport Condor is now black underneath and masked. The 71 will go on later.  The splinter scheme looks and absolute arseache to mask...

Transport is masked and took three hours.  Yes, it was an absolute pain.  The 70 will go on at the weekend, as well as the props for the 390 V-1 as they need a second coat.

The reworked Argentinian one got an initial coat of white earlier.  Definitely needs some filler, but that's the weekend.

As for the KG200 one, I still need to do the squiggles on the starboard wing, so I'll be doing that tomorrow.

The undercarriage for the transport one is assembled and after widening the wheels with some shims, I moulded them so I didn't have to do it again.  Curiously, the undercarriage seems to have been tweaked since the original release.

The former Argentinian one is all tidied up, filled, reglued where needed, sanded back and primed white.  I masked off the rudder too.  Next job is to spray the yellow cheatline.

I also started cleaning up the props from the Ju 390 to replace the two bladed ones in the kit.

Also started another, this one is going RAF, the ex-Danish one that got impressed, used briefly by BOAC, refurbished by Cunliffe-Owen before crashing at White Waltham.  It was to have been serialled DX177.  Need to do some more research I think, but the props are going to get replaced with some Rotols.

Three sets of wheels cast and cleaned up, meaning the two on the go and the one in the stash are taken care of.

Still want to do a Czech one post war.

Yellow cheat line on the ex-Argentinian one.

You can't see the masking as it's yellow tape, but it's there.

The nacelles have the red on.  The nose is still to do, I just need to mask off the yellow circles.  Doing the scallop mask  to mask off the red nose is going to be...interesting.

I now have the relevant masks for the yellow circles - them round pricing stickers.  Me Mam had some tucked away and were the correct size, a scale 36 inch.  So now I can spray the nose red.

Interested to see how this works out Lee. I've tried something similar back in the day, but I had problems removing them. Mucked up the surface they were stuck to. I think it's a case of removing some of the tackiness from them before you attach them. Hope it works out

I'll trial it on a mule first.

Touch it to your forehead first to get a little skin oil on it and reduce the tackiness.

Yellow circles masked off and the nose is now red.  The scalloped area is roughly done.  Not looking forward to the masking...
