B)Well hello chaps, to all and sundry from Perth Australia,
I have sat back and watched for some time now who would come out with the best, and best for value TSR 2 so I could do an Aussie one. In the meantime I have done F-107 Ulta Sabres, and so on,
BUT I AM BACK IN THE LAND OF the TSR2, and will be asking a lot of questions, though please do not call in the Spanish Inqusition on me ok
cheers

Welcome!

AFAIK the few TRS2 kits out there are terribly expensive (saw the Heritage kit yesterday, but didn't feel like spending E 70 on it) and not very good in terms of fit. But there's people here who can tell you lots more than that...

Hi Chris

Welcome to the board. You don't actually need a fancy username just helps where we already have other users on the board with the same name, as a result they refer to me as Thor or Thorvic as Geoff Payne is known as Geoff.

As to the TSR-2 currently the Heritage kit is the only game in town but after 10-12 years in hap-hazard production its now somewhat old & tired as resin kits go, but at least it was more accurate than the Vacform or Merlin kits.

Martin of Heritage is going to cease production on it this winter, initially it was to re-do the masters and fix the flaws that have occured over the years. It would also be moulded in the newer safer resin and be hollow cast to make it lighter and more adaptable for upgrading.

However focus has now shifted to producing Canberras as it appears Airfix may well have listened to our requests and are working on doing a proper 1/72 scale injection moulded kit of this fine aircraft. Hopefully we may get confirmation at the Telford show in a couple of weeks from the Airfix Reps, otherwise we will have to await the spring Toy fairs to see what they really have planned.

Any questions on the TSR-2 then we have plenty of members who should be able to give their opinions on TSR-2 matters.

Cheers

Welcome aboard Chris,... I think. Just after I sent you the invitation I realised that you Aussies can be crazier than us Canuckleheads, so I've sent the appropriate warning to all corners of the Great White North that you were on your way.

Get to the benches lads, we've just added more competition!

(We're not all Canadian here, it just seems that way sometimes)

Hey Tom, we need a smilie of a beaver... er, Castor canadensis of course.
