I'd figure I start by showing off some builds with markings from my favorite game series, ACE COMBAT. There are plenty of outlandish paint schemes, weapon load-outs, and "super planes" to draw inspiration from. Hasegawa likes to release limited edition kits with markings from the game, and I try to grab every one!

Here is "Garuda One", built from Hasegawa's 1/72 scale F-15e kit. I added resin bang seats and some PE to the cockpit, and raided a weapons set to provide the full haul

I even was awarded 2nd place in a local IPMS contest!  :o

built alongside Gaurda One, was one of your wingmen from the game, "Windhover". The game gives you an ungodly amount of missiles to use, so tounge in cheek, I tried to pack on as many missiles as I could onto this little F16!

Again, Hasegawa 1/72 with upgraded cockpit detail...

I have a few more ACE COMBAT projects in the works, just waiting on those last tiny details!

and it looks like Hasegawa are also going to be realeasing a whole set of EGG PLANES based on the games! I picked up these two since I missed out on the original (non-deformed) models

They're both nice, but I REALLY like the F-16!  Love the black/red details. Reminds me of some Navy F-14 and F/A-18 squadrons.
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

I'm with you there, the Viper's scheme looks great, but the Eagle also looks very good. Love the weathering work!

Snowtrooper

Both are awesome and bring back fond memories of AC6! Love the colourful-but-extremely-weathered livery, and the idea of a triple rack for AMRAAMs (is it the triple LAU-88/A rail for Mavericks, or just a standard triple rack with Sidewinder rails?) is a novel one. And activating the outer pylons on a F-15E should be mandatory! ;D

Old Wombat

Both look great & the overkill is awesome! ;D

That F-16 looks a little under-armed to me, could get crucial in a combat situation...............  ;D ;D ;D ;) ;) ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Or, to put it in another way,
'Two to the Chest and One to the Head'? I prefer 'A Lot' to the 'Everywhere.'
