I need help from Switzerland ... But even if the model is affordable about $ 20 the shipping in USPS international can reach
47,20 USD USPS Priority Mail International | ... It kills ! Is there another solution?



Let's say that only the nose and the wheel of the front train of the navy version interest me !!!

Someone used to do the short nose for the F-111B a while ago. The conversion may still be in production.

What do you want to do with it?

If you want to build one of the USAF versions or even an Australian Air Force version then Hasegawa 1/72 models are the best although they can be difficult to get hold of. Next best is the Italeri F-111A which is quite nice then there is the old Airfix F-111E.

For an F-111B then your best to get either the Hasegawa F-111C for Production and late prototype aircraft or FB-111A or F-111G for the early prototype aircraft if you are attempting to make a conversion yourself as unfortunately the easy conversion set by https://www.scalemates.com/companies/company.php?id=3840 in not readily available as the company closed in 2013. The best reference source on the F-111B is "Naval Fighters Number Forty-One which includes a side profile showing the differences between the prototype F-111B's as well as having lots of pictures of all the prototype's and the weapons as well.

I don't know the answer to that query, but that is some really great box art !

What about the intakes?

Were the production F-111Bs intended to use the later 'Triple Plow II' intakes, or the earlier versions as depicted in the Revell kit?

It's not easy to convert the early ones to the later versions (I've done it at least three times!) and it may be easier to do it in reverse.

Production Aircraft were to have the Triple Plow II intake without the splitter plate

Thank you for your advice. I'll do the modification me meme on a hasegawa basis. But the F111C from hasegawa is rare and expensive on ebay
