Hi everyone,

Its Telford time again, and it seems to come around quicker every year! This year has seen very few new products from Freightdog, and quite a few sets being unavailable for some time due to ongoing day job pressures. For 2016's show I have a handful of new items, but more significantly I have managed to re-stock quite a lot of sets that have been difficult to find for a while, including some sort after ones for the TSR.2, with more to follow. Timed to go live soon after the show will be a new website replacing my someone outdated one which will be ten years old in January (where did the time go!?)

New stuff hopefully this year (hopefully as its due to arrive from caster end by of this week) includes one item with whif potential. New products include a Hunter T.12 improvement and conversion set for the Xtrakit T.7 to build the aircraft with bulged nose for TX126 Survey Camera for TSR.2 trials, a newly mastered Mk.7 bomb (replacing the briefly available one I did in 2014), and a Spitfire Mk.18 tail to convert the Sword Mk.XIVe kit.

I had hoped to release a decal sheet of British test aircraft from the 1950's and 60's, but it needed a bit more work so has not made it to the printers in time. Replacing it I have a re-print of my Rotor-Craft Black Cat Lynx HMA.8 decal sheet for the 1/48 Airfix kit.

Other items for the show include a restock of High Planes accessories, including quite a few new 3D printed stores (Matra R.550K, R.530K, Shafrir II, Rafael Derby/R-Darter, Python-3 and SUU-11/A Minigun Pods), these make quite an easy introduction to this new medium that are likely to become increasingly more common for aftermarket products in coming years.

Lastly, with the approval of our Glorious Leader I will be awarding the Unofficial Freightdog Award for Modelling Excellence in a What-If field (just made that up!), with the kind assistance of my head judge Mike McEvoy to ensure a fair decision is made. Anything displayed on the What-If SIG table will be eligible for a small prize, although the finer details are still to be discussed with Mike when we meet up on Saturday at the show.

That's what I have planned for SMW, I hope to see some of you there, as I have been conveniently located in Hall 3 not too far from the SIG tables.

Thanks very much.

Looking forward to that when it's ready Colin.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Well everything has arrived, so packing continues.

For information prices remain unchanged, but my resin, rubber and packaging suppliers have increased their prices as it all comes from Europe. So buy at Telford if you want the current prices, with my next restock all resin sets are likely to be going up from as much as 10%, probably from January.

Really looking forward to the weekend now chaps!

Hi Colin, assuming the SUU-11/A miniguns have two in a pack, please put aside four packs for me for Telford.
