Sometimes when I look at an F.117 in plan view my brain thinks it's a swing wing aircraft with it's wings fully swept ? Wondering if that would be practical either as a model or even in the real world ?

Maybe the F-117'C' version perhaps? I know what you mean about the swept back look though 


And I'm planning on doing a UCAV version of the F-117, use it as a sacrificial lamb perhaps to knock out SAM sites or radar stations before the B-2 or the F-22s or F-35s move in for the rest of the strike?

That looks terrific, the inward canted fins make it look suitably 'different' for an RAF version, like the big intakes on RAF Phantoms.

The A/F-117X Seahawk (carrier-based variant proposed for the US Navy after the A-12 Avenger was axed) was supposed to have much less sweep and as a result, longer wingspan
