Again, a great idea, but I think the vampire is a different enough design to need a separate project for a prone position variant

That could be an interesting What If: take the prone pilot nose from the MPM Meteor kit and graft it onto a Gnat fuselage...

Spoilsport................Well, almost anyway.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Nah, follow Chris's line of thought and scale-o-rama a 1/72 Italeri Horsa to 1/32.  ;D

There's a kit of it by Unicraft! (who else?)

The link seems Fantastic plastic not Unicraft, but thanks: I found there the date I was looking for = project of 1952.
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

That's so cool!! You're right, it does look very much like a Blohm & Voss creation. Doesn't stoke me as a close air support kind of platform though

Second that. VERY German-looking design, a mix of several small fighter projects. Cool find, nevertheless.

It's a Unicraft kit that's being sold by Fantastic Plastic, thus the confusion............
