I was talking to a guy I know and we were both thinking about the what-if potential of the XF5U and larger attack aircraft from an artistry standpoint consisting of the following

  • Enough space for rockets between the two props
  • 4000-6400 pounds of bombs externally, or 2000-3200 pounds internally and 2000-3200 pounds internally in a bomb-bay bulge under the center fuselage
  • Engines consisting of 2 x R-3350, 2 x R-4360, 2 x Turboprops
  • Adequate range: Similar to the XBT2D/AD/A-1 or A-26
Also, has there ever been any jet-based method of cancelling out vortices to this effect?
That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.
