One question: is that a targetting pod under one inboard wing? If so, wouldn't it have a rather limited field of view from there?

We'll have to start an ASW2COIN theme - one project I have in mind is a COIN Gannet: a sort of Brit Skyraider to support UK forces in Vietnam.

yes its a LANTIRN pod, so the aircraft can drop guided ordanance, I didn't really think about it needing to look sideways, I might delete it yet.
Cheers for the heads up. The mohawk is one of my favourite aircaft, and I have 3 in my stash, 2 are very early Hasegawa ones, with weapons fitted, and gun pods on the fuselage.

You don't need to delete it, just move it. Why not put it on an outboard pylon and put free-fall bombs on the inners? Or another thing I've often considered: re-package it into the nose of one tip-tank.

Way cool. An awesome idea put into 'reality'. Love the funky paint scheme, and the way the canopy paint makes it look like a Racoon.....ready to raid at night !

I'm glad this was resurrected, I hadn't seen the build and it's really cool.
As has been said, you have to love a COIN bird - all loaded for Bear and ready to bring the Pain!

Nine years to be exact, COIN birds are a favourite of mine, as you will no doubt be able to tell from the other COIN aircraft I have done.

Nice idea - I just do not think that the gondola construction with the engines and the landing gear?
The splinter scheme looks good - looks like one of the MiG-29SMT demonstrators?
