The whole pb debacle has some unforeseen benefits.
I've been uploading all my pics to flickr and in the process rediscovered old whiffs.

Some years ago I was sent a Tamiya Mini with a request to do what I wanted with it and then send it back.
So I did.  The pics are not the best but they are all I have.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I thought it was a Trabant at first glance!  :o  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I can definitely see where you are coming from. Paint it RLM 02 and it would be even more confusing.  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

My first thought was Trabant.   Come to think of it, a mini cooper enginde Trabbie would be quite interesting

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

I thought of the Hornet or Elf at first.

For a few seconds anyway, until the engine, transmission and front wheels departed through the grille and took off down the road in their own!

Thanks Jon.
It's lowered (not by much, being a mini), which was a pain to do but had to be done.
The boot is a section from a 41 Willys roof and PSR was a PitA especially round the fins.
Shortening the roof was also fun.  You don't realise how much Mini's taper until you try it.  Being only 2 seats did mean I could give the occupants more leg room.
Grille is cut down '53 or '54 Chevy and the headlights are custom parts from the old AMT trophy series '53 F100.
Hubcaps are resin FC Holden which on something with proper sized wheels are baby moons but on 10" mini wheels work as full moons.
Interior is full custom with (possibly) MPC van seat but you can't see that clearly here and I can't find the WIP pics.

All in all it took me about 3 years to build.

More like lack of dedication to the PSR.
