Just went in a Home Bargains yesterday, and they had a couple of Revell kits in:

1/32nd Bo 105 helicopter starter set in '35th Anniversary of Roth' special colour scheme. £10.00 (RRP = £22)

1/24th Mercedes racing saloon car (300SL?) starter set. £10.00 (RRP = £20-odd)

I don't intend to buy either of these, but if anyone who can't get to a Home Bargains wants me to pick one up for them, I'd be happy to. Drop me a PM.

Also, it might be worth checking the stores in your area to see if different stores have different models. They're either in the Toys section or the Crafts section which is next to the Stationary. Stock levels are pretty low so look carefully: they're easy to miss.

This Benz kit? If so, and if one followed old M-B naming conventions, it would be a 630SL. (6.3L V-8 vs. 3.0L I-6 of 300SL).  ;)

No, it was definately silver and squarer than that. I'm pretty (kinda..) convinced it was a 300 SL-24, which Revell do do, but I can't find a pic of a starter set version of it. I'm also kinda sorta convinced it was some sort of racer and was black and silver rather than all-silver.

Afraid I'm not much help on cars unless I can see the name badge clearly. It definately had a roof and a wheel at each corner...

Revell did a 1/24 kit of the DTM AMG Merc in various schemes a couple of seasons ago, this one was in silver.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Incidentally, the Bo-105 just had the fiftieth anniversary of its maiden flight: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MBB_Bo_105
