I'm honestly embarrassed when I get compliments on the wood decks, as I'm still using the technique I learned like 35 years ago: Base coat, Ink wash, dry brush, go have an adult beverage.

I keep feeling like there should be more to it, or I should have come up with something else in the last 3+ decades.
