My model of the X-15 in 1/72 scale from the MPM kit

Great job.
It's just begging for AAMs on wingtip rails and at least one gun.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Yes it would, but what happens when you are flying faster than what you launch or fire can go?

kerick

Very nice work and congrats on the trophy!
I've always loved the X-15.

My thoughts exactly, the trophy was well deserved with that amount of detail, very well done  :thumbsup:

Now you just need to do one with delta wings, then one with a SERJ engine and then a two seater  ;D
Don't let ageing get you down, it's too hard to get back up

wikxie

You learn something new every day! (Which is what I love about this site.) I've never heard of the SERJ Engine, what a fascinating project.

Mere detail.   ;D

Old Wombat

Lovely model! :thumbsup:

I now have to check out my photo's of the Expo to see if I've got any of it.

Then I'll have to see if I can remember the face that went up to get the trophy (that is so unlikely I'm more likely to find George Harrison & David Bowie jamming in my ensuite).

Here it is;

Here's the competition;

Hey, thanks Old Wombat. I guess our paths have crossed at the SAPMA shows from time to time. Nice pics, by the way. Those whiffy Lightnings were awesome, I was surprised I won!

kerick

From these pics I'd say you had stiff competition!
The Bucc with folded wings looked interesting too.
