Can anyone suggest the best colour (Humbrol preferably) for British vehicles during the two Gulf Wars.?

Checking colour call outs in my Revell Chally 1 and Trumpeter Chally 2, this is what I get

- Revell 88, equals Humbrol 94

or

- Gunze Sangyo H313 (Humbrol 121), 80% + H1 (Humbrol 22), 20%.

Hope that helps

Humbrol 237 Desert Tan.  It's a newer paint, created for the 1/48 Afghan war models, I think it pretty much matches the Op Granby colours too.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Aircraft were finished differently.  I believe British Army helicopters such as Lynx and Gazelle got a two tone Desert Pink and a sand shade, with some being all over in one shade of those two shades (I seem to think Lynx was Desert Pink, whereas the Gazelle was sand).

I can't recommend a paint as Gulf War Desert Pink has been one of those elusive shades (and tended to differ between types) that no paint manufacturer has ever got quite right and I don't know what the sand shade was.  For Desert Pink, I did an RAF A-7 and started with Humbrol 250 and mixed in a little white, which was all hidden with promodeller washes.
