Right I was waiting for the inevitable extension to be granted to the Soviet GB but I can now say that this years One Week GB will take place either at the end of May or the beginning of June.

I'm looking at 21 May to 28 May inclusive or 28 May to 4 June inclusive. It's likely to be the earlier as I'm away during the second set of dates.

So time to start thinking about what you intend to build and to sort the necessary parts out

Can I get a pre-agreed 2 week extension on the 1 week GB please Chris?   ;D

NO

Don't be greedy. Although I'll probably tweak the dates so that they encompass two full weekends.

Hmmm, I've got two projects in mind but might have to find something less ambitious as I'd like to actually finish this time!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Weaver

Hmmm. Every time I do something easy for the 1Wk GB it flops, but every time I do something stupidly ambitious, it works out......

Spoilsport.

I have obtained another Hobby Boss Zlin Z-42.  I may throw that together.
Or maybe not.  I wonder if I could build, paint and rig a biplane in a week?

No idea what I'll be doing but it will probably be a simple paint Wif, although I may use a resin kit

Yep - the limiting factor is mask/paint/dry cycles.

Well I've found the kit I want to build for the GB after having a look at the Anigrand part of the stash. Also checked I have suitable markings

Beg your pardon for my stupid question, but the subject for the One Week Build is free?
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

IMO PSR is the limiting factor.  Choose a kit with a good fit or if doing a kit bash try to plan one with minimal filler needed (for example with last years Zlin float plane I managed to make the support for the Curtis central float fit properly rather than just slap filler all over it in my usual way).
Or just be Dizz.

Yup if using acrylic paints then P.S.R. is definitely the limiting factor  in my view. So why am I building a resin kit ? Because I have in the past and the Planet and Anigrand ones I've built for those have been very good fits. Here's hoping this years choice is.
