Sort of.  Elvis's old private plane (a Jetstar, but a King Air would have been gold) just sold for $430K.

A bargain in the great scheme of things, might have had it myself if hadn't been so close to payday.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Kind of amazing, really!

First, it just sat there ...... outside..... for nearly 40 years?!  Just sitting there...  The other planes of Elvis are secured... I wonder why no one has been able to acquire this one for so long? Was it forgotten? Was the owner reluctant to sell until now? No one at the airport is like, "why has this plane sat outside undisturbed for decades?"

This is neat... and dare I say I really like the livery. I'd hope and imagine that whomever bought it definitely has plans to restore it and as the article said there stands to MAD potential for profit.

You are missing the most interesting thing about this.  It was at Roswell, New Mexico.
Could it be this was the plane Elvis used to take his last terrestrial trip before he boarded a saucer to go home?
:o

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I think that the plane was tied up in some legal row of ownership. It may have been given to his Dad rather than left to his estate. Therefore they had to wait until his Father was dead and no other claims to ownership were filed.

Looks like a kitbashed Su-27 with forward swept wings and F-22 styled air intakes for the engines, with canards thrown in as a after thought!

KiwiZac

The wings almost look B-2....I want one! Someone tell Hasegawa it's from an anime!
